Common questions
The panel asks me to sign in every time
SideNote uses the Google account Chrome is signed in to. If you use more than one Chrome profile, open the panel in the profile whose Google account has access to your GA4 property.
"No property in your account measures this site"
SideNote matches the page's address with the web streams of the GA4 properties your account can see. Check that your Google account has at least Viewer access to the property, and that the property's web stream uses the same domain as the page.
It picked the wrong property
When a match is a guess, for example a subdomain, the panel says so. Use the property menu at the top of the panel to choose another one. SideNote remembers your choice for that site.
The numbers differ from GA4 reports
SideNote reads the same GA4 Data API that powers your reports, for the page path you are on. Small differences can come from date ranges, time zones or data thresholds that Google applies. When Google samples or withholds data, the panel marks the figure.
How do I remove access?
Remove the extension from Chrome, and revoke its access in your Google Account permissions. Nothing is stored anywhere else.
